The continuing nature of the defendant's criminal enterprise, which spanned pre and post-1994 guidelines, provided the trial court with an interesting sentencing option. The trial court was given the choice of applying the sentencing guidelines in effect at the beginning of the enterprise or those in effect at the end of the enterprise.
