On May 15, 2001, the Jefferson Parish District Attorney filed a petition alleging that Z.S., a juvenile, committed an attempted armed robbery in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27:64. The juvenile denied the allegations in the petition on May 21, 2001. On June 28, 2001, an adjudication hearing was held before the juvenile court judge.
