JAMES L. CANNELLA, Judge.

Defendant, Laurel Brashears, appeals from her conviction of shoplifting merchandise valued between $100 and $500 and her sentence to 18 months imprisonment at hard labor, suspended, with 18 months supervised probation. A $300 fine was also imposed. For the reasons which follow, we affirm and remand.
