This appeal arises from a dispute over a contingent fee contract for legal services entered into between two attorneys and the Town of Mamou, Louisiana (the Town). This matter has previously been before us, and we revisit it on basically the same issue. One of the attorneys, Gerald Fontenot, appeals the trial court's judgment awarding attorney fees on the basis of quantum meruit after finding the contingent fee contract invalid.
