Betty Ruth Johnson ("the wife") and Terry Wayne Johnson ("the husband") were divorced by a judgment entered by the Calhoun Circuit Court on May 1, 1997. The judgment granted the divorce based on incompatibility of temperament, awarded primary custody of the parties' two children to the wife, and divided the marital property and debts.
