GROSS, J.

Marion Campbell and Euthymius Cocoves were married from 1974 to 1985. Both parties had pensions with the State of Michigan. Around the time of their retirement, the parties moved to Florida. Cocoves and Campbell divorced on May 28, 1985. Paragraph eight of their property settlement agreement addressed the parties' pension benefits and insurance policies. That paragraph provided in part:

The wife does further acknowledge that she is the irrevocable...
