[¶ 1] Defendant Lynda Alley (f/k/a Lynda Spreng) appeals from a judgment of the District Court (Ellsworth, Mills, J.) awarding Ruth Rice $20,000 in compensatory damages in her action for defamation. Alley challenges the judgment on numerous grounds. We agree with Alley's contention that her statements were conditionally privileged, and that Rice presented insufficient evidence to show that the privilege was abused. Accordingly, we vacate the...
