These wrongful death and survival claims arise out of a single-vehicle accident which occurred in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, on the morning of March 13, 1997. In the accident, Leonard Vallien, Sr., sustained fatal injuries when his truck left the road and collided with a tree in the marsh.
