¶ 1. Charles Carney a/k/a Cool Charles was convicted of the sale or transfer of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church as a habitual offender. Since the sale occurred within 1,500 feet of a church and Carney was a habitual offender, the trial judge sentenced him to the maximum sentence of 120 years.
