Appellant, Barbara Harper, was convicted of attempted possession of a prohibited weapon (PPW), a flowerpot, in violation of D.C.Code § 22-4514(b) (2001), formerly D.C.Code § 22-3214(b) (1996), after she threw a plastic flowerpot at a vehicle occupied by the complainant, who is appellant's daughter, and several small children. Harper was sentenced to 180 days incarceration, suspended to all but two days, one year supervised probation...
