The indictment in this case charged appellant, in Count I, with possession of a machine gun in February 1997 in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(o) and 924(a)(2), and, in Count II, with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) and 924(a)(2).
