The trial court entered a judgment of divorce in June 1997, divorcing Rebecca Ann Mitchell ("the wife") and Johnny Mitchell, Jr. ("the husband"). The judgment, among other things, ordered the husband to pay $500 per month in periodic alimony and awarded him supervised visitation with the parties' minor child.
