In February 1998, plaintiff, John D. Terry, was terminated from his employment at defendant, Watts Copy Systems, Inc. (Watts). Terry later filed a complaint with the Illinois Human Rights Commission (Commission), alleging that he was fired because of a handicap, in violation of section 2-102 of the Human Rights Act (Act) (775 ILCS 5/2-102 (West 2000)).
