¶ 1 In this case we determine whether a contractor violated the Mechanics' Lien Law when it posted a notice of filing of claim on the owners' property, following the sheriff's unsuccessful attempt to serve the owners personally with notice of the claim. Following an evidentiary hearing, the trial court concluded that service by posting was insufficient and granted the owners' preliminary objections...
