LANSING, Judge.

The Ramsey County District Court modified Thomas Wukawitz Jr.'s 140-month prison sentence to include a 60-month concurrent and coterminous conditional-release term. We conclude that the conditional-release term may not commence before the defendant has been released from incarceration, but the district court may reduce the conditional-release term so that the total period of possible incarceration...
