The defendant, Phillip Lentz, Jr., was charged with one count of attempted aggravated burglary, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:60 and 14:27, and one count of aggravated burglary, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:60. After a trial by jury, he was found guilty of attempted aggravated burglary on both counts. The trial court sentenced the defendant to ten years at hard labor on each count, to be served consecutively. The state filed a habitual offender bill of information...
