By order of our Supreme Court in Brooks v. Mammo, 463 Mich. 852, 617 N.W.2d 334 (2000), defendants appeal as on leave granted. After a jury returned a verdict for plaintiff in the amount of $50,000, the district court entered a judgment in the amount of $17,985, reflecting the $10,000 jurisdictional limit provided by M.C.L. § 600.8301, plus costs and interest. The district court denied plaintiff's motion for attorney fees as mediation sanctions...
