In this case we reaffirm the principle that it is improper for prosecutors to argue that the jury may acquit the defendant only if the jury finds that the State's witnesses are "lying."1 The trial court here committed plain error by failing to intervene sua sponte and take appropriate action to cure the effect of this patently improper...
