Defendants, Paul Engler and Deborah Helt, have been granted discretionary review of their simple-misdemeanor convictions for trespassing in violation of West Des Moines, Iowa Ordinance 5-2-2-3(b) (1998). They contend that their actions were protected as a right of free speech guaranteed by article I, section 7 of the Iowa Constitution.
