On March 1, 2002 Daryl Mercante was charged by bill of information with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, Oxycodone, a violation of La.R.S. 40:967(C). At arraignment on April 1, 2002 he entered a plea of not guilty. On June 7, 2002 the defendant filed a motion to suppress evidence, which is the subject of this appeal.
