Following a jury trial, defendant Timothy Diehl was convicted of burglary and sentenced as a Class X offender to an eight-year prison term. The judgment was affirmed on direct appeal. People v. Diehl, No. 1-99-1528, 315 Ill.App.3d 1219, 268 Ill.Dec. 161, 777 N.E.2d 1084 (2000) (unpublished order pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 23).
