Appellant Timothy Johnson was indicted in November 1984 for the murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault of Teresa Stanley and was separately indicted for armed robbery and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime in connection with the robbery of a convenience store. On the first day of trial, appellant entered into an agreement with the State as to both indictments and pursuant to which he entered a plea of guilty to one count...
