Larry Hyppolite was convicted following a jury trial of dealing in cocaine, a Class B felony, and sentenced to twenty years incarceration. He initiated a direct appeal from his conviction, but subsequently sought and was granted permission to dismiss his appeal without prejudice to pursue post-conviction relief.
