The defendant appeals from convictions of conspiracy to commit mayhem and conspiracy to commit assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon. The evidence favorable to the Commonwealth at trial showed that the defendant engaged one Hathaway to murder George Markos and shoot Konstantinos Travayiakis ("Kostos") in the knees.
