While babysitting, Crystal Leanderson accidentally started a fire at Timothy and Margaret Hawkins' home, which was insured by Grange Insurance Association (Grange). After Grange paid the loss, it demanded subrogation from the Leandersons, who were insured by Farmers Insurance Company of Washington (Farmers). Eventually, Farmers denied coverage. The Leandersons confessed judgment to Grange in exchange for a covenant not to execute. Then, Grange filed suit...
