The plaintiff, Dorothy Dugas, brought this suit to recover damages for the personal injuries she sustained in an automobile accident wherein the vehicle she was driving was struck by a vehicle driven by Lawrence Derouen. In her suit, she named as defendants Mr. Derouen; J.P.
