HARWOOD, Justice.

David L. Lucas petitioned this Court for a writ of certiorari to review the Court of Criminal Appeals' judgment affirming the trial court's dismissal of his Rule 32, Ala. R.Crim. P., petition for postconviction relief. We granted the petition to review Lucas's claim that his trial counsel had rendered ineffective assistance at his sentence hearing in failing to object to the introduction of allegedly uncertified copies of prior felony convictions...
