In December 1998, Linda Faye Williams filed a complaint in the Montgomery Circuit Court against Joji Kanazawa, alleging that she had been injured as a result of an automobile accident that occurred in January 1997 and that Kanazawa's negligence and/or wantonness had caused her injuries.
