J.R. Gonzales was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1); being in possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1); and carrying a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c).
