Leroy Dean was convicted by a jury of one count of forgery. K.S.A. 2001 Supp. 21-3710(a)(2). Because he was on postrelease supervision at the time of this crime, Dean was sentenced to 14 months' incarceration. See K.S.A. 2001 Supp. 21-4603d(a)(1). He appeals his conviction and sentence.
