Stephen C. Jenkins sued his former employer, KLT, Inc. (KLT), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kansas City Power and Light (KCPL), for breach of contract and negligent misrepresentation. Jenkins's breach-of-contract claims alleged that KLT failed to complete payments owed to him from two incentive plans and a severance agreement.
