This is an appeal from an order of the State Board of Funeral Directors (Board) in which a funeral director was fined and his license suspended because of his professional misconduct. The finding of professional misconduct was based on the funeral director's retrieving a decedent from a hospital and embalming the body without the written authorization of the next-of-kin, followed by his threatening to withhold the body from family members unless...
