MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

BUCKLO, District Judge.

Virgil E. Jones, a former alderman in Chicago, Illinois, was convicted of one count of conspiracy to commit extortion, two counts of attempted extortion, and two counts of filing false income tax returns. I sentenced him to a total of forty-one months imprisonment, two years of supervised release, and a $1,000 fine. He appealed and his conviction was affirmed. United States v. Jones,
