This case involves several alleged erroneous evidentiary rulings and alleged misconduct by the prosecutor. Appellant Lue Lee's estranged wife, Xia Vang, was murdered by a single shotgun blast to her head on November 25, 2000. Steven Yang was indicted for first-degree murder for firing the fatal shot and appellant was indicted for first-degree murder for allegedly aiding and abetting Yang.
