Meyer (hereinafter defendant) sold his majority interest in Statewide Industrial Equipment Company (hereinafter Statewide), a supplier of power transmission equipment, to plaintiff's president and, in conjunction therewith, defendant agreed not to work for any business in competition with Statewide for a period of 10 years.
