On April 5, 2000, William Curtis was convicted of distribution of cocaine base and conspiracy to distribute cocaine base in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1) and 846. He filed a motion for a new trial based on newly discovered evidence which the district court denied.
