¶ 1. Mervin Sanders was convicted of possession of cocaine with the intent to sell in the Circuit Court of Pike County, Mississippi. Evidence of two prior drug convictions was introduced and Sanders was sentenced as a habitual offender to pay a $30,000 fine and to serve a term of thirty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
