¶ 1. FINE, J.

Judith G. appeals from an order for protective placement under WIS. STAT. § 55.06, which directed that she be "placed in the least restrictive placement commensurate with her needs as designated by the Milwaukee County Department on Aging." Ms. G. has since died. We decide the appeal nevertheless because of the importance of the issue it raises and, given the age and health condition of many of the persons for whom protective placement is sought...
