HARWOOD, Justice.

The State of Alabama petitioned this Court for a writ of certiorari to review the judgment of the Court of Criminal Appeals reversing Dewey Donald Featherston's conviction for two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree. We granted the State's petition to consider whether the Court of Criminal Appeals incorrectly decided an issue of first impression and whether its opinion conflicted with prior cases of that court...
