Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of carjacking, M.C.L. § 750.529a, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, M.C.L. § 750.227b. He was sentenced as a third-offense habitual offender, M.C.L. § 769.11, to ten to twenty-five years' imprisonment for the carjacking conviction and to a two-year consecutive prison term for the felony-firearm conviction.
