The Judicial Tenure Commission has reached an agreement with the respondent judge, the Honorable Gerard Trudel, under which he consented to the Commission's findings of fact, conclusions of law, and recommendation for discipline, as set forth below. Following our de novo review, we adopt the following findings of fact and conclusions of law as our own:
