Police officers obtained consent to enter a residence for the purpose of talking to Viengmone Khounvichai about a recently reported incident of malicious mischief. We agree with the juvenile court that the requirements of State v. Ferrier1 did not apply to the facts of this case, that the consent to enter was voluntary under the circumstances, and that the police officers did not exceed the scope of that consent.
