In 1981, Martin Matusko, during the course of his employment, suffered a work-related injury to his right fifth finger and right shoulder for which benefits were awarded in 1983. In 1985, as a result of the work incident in 1981, a compensable neck injury was established and, in 1989, Matusko was ultimately declared permanently totally disabled.
