Defendant was the subject of a 10-count indictment arising out of an incident whereby she took a steak knife and entered the apartment of her neighbor, an 80-year-old woman, with the intent to rob her of money defendant needed to pay her crack cocaine dealer. When the neighbor resisted, defendant slashed the victim's neck and left with her money. Pursuant to a plea bargain agreement, defendant pleaded guilty to one count of the crime of assault in the first degree in full...
