During the early morning hours of June 5, 1999 in the Town of New Paltz, Ulster County, a town police officer, Sergeant Joseph Snyder, observed defendant's vehicle proceeding in an erratic manner by, inter alia, weaving to the right of the fog line and traveling beyond the edge of the paved highway. After stopping the vehicle, Snyder detected the odor of alcohol emanating from defendant and observed that defendant's eyes were glassy and his speech slurred...
