The defendant was tried by jury and convicted of possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, cocaine. Subsequently, the defendant was found to be a second felony offender and was sentenced to serve 15 years imprisonment at hard labor, with 5 years to be served without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
