¶ 1. This is a direct appeal from a judgment of conviction of forcible rape in the Circuit Court of Hancock County, Mississippi. The grand jury indicted John Curtis Madere ("Madere") a/k/a Rebel for the crime of forcible rape of Elizabeth Medina ("Medina") a/k/a Elizabeth Medina Summers. The court tried Madere before a jury.
