On February 5, 1998, the defendant, Derrick Conaler, was charged with being in possession of a firearm while also possessing narcotics, a violation of La.R.S. 14:95(E). He pled not guilty. Following a hearing on May 29, 1998, the trial court denied defendant's motion to suppress the evidence. Defendant sought supervisory review in this court, which was denied.
