The instant matter is before the Court on motion of defendant Robert L. Nicholson ("Nicholson"), made pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2A:16-49.1, to cancel and discharge a default judgment entered by this Court in the amount of $57,259.68 on July 31, 1995. Nicholson, whose debts were discharged in bankruptcy on March 22, 1996, claims that the judgment impairs the homestead exemption to which he was entitled in bankruptcy...
