The defendant, Norman Gaines, appeals from the judgment of conviction rendered after a jury found him guilty of capital felony in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54b (8),1 two counts of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a2 and conspiracy to commit murder in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-54a
